A Great Day Out in Sidmouth

Clarence Bowls Club enjoyed a fantastic day trip to Sidmouth, with members making the most of a very busy and lively due to the renowned folk festival seaside town before taking to the green for an enjoyable afternoon of bowls.

Unfortunately, the result didn’t quite go our way and Sidmouth came out on top, but that certainly didn’t spoil the day. The match was played in great spirits, with plenty of friendly competition, good company and laughs along the way.

With Sidmouth packed with visitors and the sun bringing everyone out, there was a real holiday atmosphere around the town. It was a thoroughly enjoyable club outing and another reminder that bowls is about far more than just the final score.
